The Wine Lovers Site
Drink Treat was formed by Wine enthusiasts for others just like us. My name is Keith and I'm your host here. As with all proper hosts, I feel the need to entertain you with a short story...
Recently, I was sitting at dinner with my business partner and my wife. The three of us had just finished eating and were each enjoying a glass of Croft Porto Vintage 2003. Our conversation was about our careers and what we wanted to achieve in the next five years.
That's when it hit me.
I said something that shocked both of them. I said that I was willing to quite my profession and become a full time host of wines. I wanted to educate others to the finer things in life. I wanted to help anyone that was looking for a good source for wine information. And lastly, I wanted to sell wine and wine accessories.
They laughed... but then realized I was serious.
My business partner said, 'You got it, count me in.'
And the rest is history. With several months in the making, Drink Treat is now open to you and we are grateful you are here.
Look around. Enjoy. Stay a while... and ask questions!

White Wine by Luna from Napa Valley, California. Blend: 95% Pinot Grigio, 5% Chardonnay The 2006 Pinot Grigio is a star-bright, light straw color, and its nose has wonderful aromas of pear, peach and apricot. This is a delicious, full-bodied wine with a forward surge of lemon zest and pine nut flavors. On the palate, there are notes of citrus, fig, pear, pineapple and a faint hint of oak. Notes of honeysuckle and orange marmalade close out the finish. This wine is delightful to drink now, and will continue to be at its peak through the end of 2008. Slightly yeasty aromas of yellow plum, pear and tropical fruits. Fresh and fruit-driven, with lively acidity giving the middle palate a firmness. I find the saline minerality and subtle florality here to be quite intriguing. Finishes firm-edged, almost tannic, but without bitterness. Drash recommends pairing this wine with scallops or calamari. -International Wine Cellar

Dessert, Fortified & Fruit Wine by Broadbent from Portugal. Aged in oak casks for at least 3 years. Esteemed for its concentrated aroma and subtle flavor, it can be served as an apéritif or as an after dinner drink. Madeira, warm and luscious in both its dry and sweet variations, makes an excellent wine for winter and the holiday season. Clear dark reddish-copper in color, it breathes classic and very appealing Madeira scents of dried dates and figs and mixed nuts. Smooth and gently sweet, it's not a sticky dessert wine but shows good fresh-fruit sweetness built on Madeira's sturdy core of tart, lemony acidity.
