I’m not a wine drinker, but I’m very familiar with Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara County. I heard Los Olivos has really good wine tasting. Solvang is a cute little town with a Danish culture and motif. If you want a recommendation for someplace good to eat, head to Pea Soup Andersons in Buellton. It’s located five miles west of Solvang. And be sure to spend some time in Santa Barbara itself;it’s gorgeous. I don’t know how much the limo would cost, but split among 5 people should be reasonable.

Most of the wineries in the Santa Barbara area are actually closer to Solvang. In fact, there are quite a few with wine tasting rooms located in Solvang.

My favorite restaurant in Solvang is Cafe Angelica. This is a small bistro styled restaurant. Every item I’ve tried has been delicious.

Learn more about the wineries at this site:

You could easily drive from winery to winery if one of you will drink lightly. Many wineries are just short distances from each other. There are way too many wineries to visit in a day….pick and choose or just sample a few wines at each stop. You can always plan a return visit!

they’re also in Santa Ynez. But Santa Barbara would be the best place to say. I would recommend Foley Winery. My aunt worked there, and I liked the scenery, and there is a duck pond nearby for good picnics. As for the view, it made me feel peaceful

What do you mean by expensive?

Contact local limos, meaning Santa Barbara, Solvang, Los Olivos.

Ask them if they have some winery package. I’m sure that they do since this is not an original idea. Although it is a great idea.
By the way, Pea Soup Anderson’s is a FAMOUS restaurant but not a GREAT restaurant.

There are many GREAT restaurants in the area. One of my fav’s is “The Blue Agave” and “The Palace Cafe”. The Palace serves Louisiana style and Blue Agave serves hip and cool stuff with a great selection of tequila. For Italian, try Ca’ Dario or Via Vai. Ca’Dario is in SB while Via Vai is in Montecito.

Have a great time and drop me an e-mail both 12:00 Friday if you would like for me to call you with more info.

I’ve lived here since 1984 and know the restaurant scene.

Take a look at the Fess Parker Winery and yes, this is the same guy that was Disney’s Davy Crockett…and I am a big fan of his red wines (I don’t like white wine from anyone).
