Ros? Wine

Ros? Wine by Belle Glos from Sonoma County, California. Clear, crystalline medium rose-salmon color. Aromas of vine-ripened strawberries and green apples, with background notes of sweet oak. On the palate, abundant flavors of cranberry, pomegranate and crisp Fuji apples. Through the finish, the wine opens to a more opulent array of crisp, tangy fruits. A long, red-fruit-driven finish completes this lighter expression of classic Pinot Noir. Best enjoyed well chilled. Wonderfully fruity, but free of even the least hint of candy, and all Pinot Noir in its keen focus on cherries and plums, this pale, salmon-hued working has a nice sense of vinous substance and more fruity depth than most of the competition, but it is always lively and light on its feet. Well-placed acidity counters its scant touch of residual sugar, and its brisk, long-lasting finish is both cleansing and filled with flavor. -Connoisseurs' Guide

Ros? Wine by I'M from Napa Valley, California. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon This Rose is made in the Saignee style. Saignee is a process which not only lends itself to the production of the Rose wine, but also enhances the quality and richness of a red wine. Cabernet Sauvignon is the last grape to be harvested, as it matures the latest. Due to the nature of the grape, the bottling and release of this wine is later than most Roses. I'M Rose is a dry wine with good structure, acidity, and an enjoyable long finish. The acidity lends itself well to diverse styles of food. Being Cabernet Sauvignon, there is a lot of substance and a hint of tannin for a greater mouth feel. This wine pairs extremely well with Thai and other haute-Asian cuisines, barbecue and pastas.

Ros? Wine by Folie a Deux from California. The 2006 Menage a Trois Rose is a blend of Merlot, Syrah and Gewurztraminer. The two red grapes received a 24-hour cold soak on the skins to give the wine its suggestive pinkness and luscious body. The Gewurztraminer was cold fermented to preserve the exotic spice and naked fruit. No malolactic fermentation here - just crisp acidity. This is the epitome of a good rose: a fruit-laden roller coaster ride of raspberries, strawberries, lychee nuts and flowers with a silky smooth finish.

Ros? Wine by Simi from Sonoma County, California. Giuseppe and Pietro Simi's daughter Isabelle took over management of the winery at the age of 18 and ran it successfully until 1970 when she retired. Over the years, Isabelle planted her Roseto, Italian for rose garden, with a new rose planted in honor of each new U.S. President (except, of course, for President Herbert Hoover, who enacted Prohibition in 1920). To this day, Isabelle's Roseto blooms fragrantly for visitors at the winery's century-old cellars in Healdsburg. A tribute to Isabelle, its dry, delightfully fresh, crisp and juicy style honors her legacy. Varietal Composition: 100% Syrah Appearance: Soft pink with peach hues Aroma: Strawberry and citrus notes with hints of lemon blossom Flavor: Fresh strawberry and peach flavors with mouth-filling ripeness and balanced acidity.
